Ewart Price Solicitors are able to assist anyone (whether a client of the firm or not) with the above matters between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
You do not need to make an appointment for these services but we ask that you avoid lunchtimes (between 1 and 2pm). Please explain to our receptionist which service you require and be prepared to show the receptionist your documents if you are unsure.
- Administering the swearing of Oaths (including Probate Oaths), Affidavits and Statutory Declarations
We can provide this service unless Ewart Price already acts for you in respect of the matter to which the document relates.
- Certified copies
If you require a certified copy of a document (eg to prove your identity) please bring the original document with you in order that we may inspect this and take the necessary copies to certify.
- Countersigning Passport Applications
Please note that we cannot countersign British passport applications but we are able to countersign Irish passport applications as, unlike British passports, there is no requirement that we have known the applicant for at least 2 years.
- Land Registry ID1 Forms
We can confirm your identity on Land Registry ID1 Forms provided you bring with you the specified proof of your identity and 2 recent passport style photographs. If you additionally require independent legal advice on the transaction to which the ID1 relates please discuss this with our receptionist as a specific appointment will be required for this purpose.
- Drafting Affidavits and Declarations
If you wish us to draft an Affidavit or Declaration for a specific purpose we can usually provide this service, depending on the nature of the matter, but it is necessary to make an appointment. Please speak to our receptionist who will put you through to the appropriate member of staff to assist with your enquiry. We would need to quote on an individual basis for this service, depending on the complexity of the matter and the amount of time it is likely to take.
- Notarial Services
Unfortunately we do NOT have a Notary Public at our office and are therefore unable to offer any services requiring a Notary Public (these usually relate to overseas transactions and property).
- Witnessing a signature on documents other than Affidavits, Oaths and Statutory Declarations
This is a discretionary service depending on the nature of the document. Please speak to our receptionist who will check with a staff member whether we can assist.
